Profile

Miles is a Norfolk based photographer who has been helping clients tell their stories using imagery, for over 25 years. Starting his career in design, he developed a keen knowledge for finding the right image and understands well the importance using photography to convey a message.

The next 5 years was spent travelling the world as a Picture Editor at Getty Images (a global visual content creator and library.) Editing, processing and delivering imagery of the world best photographers taught Miles the art of composition and knowing the best frames to tell the story.

His next move was to Canon Europe, where he worked in a team directly supporting professional photographers. Then, fuelled by a number of flourishing photography commissions and prompted by the birth of his first child Miles decided to follow his heart and went freelance in 2012.

Miles has a unique balance of creativity, intuition and technical ability, bringing years of experience to each job. Miles enjoys a wide range of photography subjects but always brings his careful eye and attention to detail to each shoot. His style could be described as documentary and regularly works with brands to achieve authenticity, a refined aesthetic and always aims to produce work that feels natural and unobtrusive.

These days he works regularly with a few Clients and is also commissioned by Getty Images. He has been entrusted with high pressure and delicate assignments such as photographing high net worth individuals properties across the UK, documenting the three year build of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, documenting the Getty family estate and the facilities of BAE Systems.

After living 20 years in London, Miles is now enjoying Norwich life, growing vegetables, walking his dog, taking care of his kids and doing up his old house one room at a time.
